Cats and Dogs Intuition is something to be considered. Have you ever been sitting quietly alone when your cute little furry feline or K9 friend arches their back or puffs up like the true "Halloween Cat."; looking at absolutely, nothing?

A Cool Cat, Intuitive
Cats and Dogs and Intuition, Do our Furry Babies See or Feel More Than We Do?

Every hair you have is standing up on end, at the uncertainty of what they could be looking at. They are clearly seeing something we are not; that in and of itself, is absolutely creepy but yet intriguing!

Are they seeing a spirit of another animal? Maybe it is a longtime passed relative looking in on us; a different spirit, or kind of a spirit all together? Maybe they just have CRAZY senses.

There are a few animals that can see infrared and ultraviolet light that humans are unable to see:

  • Dogs & Cats have a wider field of vision. They pick up on details we do not, by having better night vision.

  • Butterflies & Bees can see ultraviolet light

  • Snakes can see infrared radiation from the warmth of objects and

  • Bats by echolocation, in which they emit certain sound, then they interpret the returning echo's to navigate.

A dogs field of vision is wider, they can see at dawn, dusk and twilight much better than we do. Dogs senses are heightened, compared to humans. Their sense of smell and hearing especially.

Cats have amazing senses of hearing, some say it is 6-8 times stronger than humans.

On the side of funny & Note To Self:

If your cat keeps starring off into nothing; in at least the same spot, you may want to find out what may be in your walls or right outside the area they are looking at before we jump to the supernatural or the similar. Could be creepy; maybe a little disturbing, but essential in the end!

Dogs form such strong bonds with us and are amazingly intuitive. When we are ailing or suffering they may show a protective, attentive behavior. They may stay close to you. They may be more observant than normal, may sniff you more often and may whine or whimper more than usual. They strive to be your support. Dogs literally feel worry when their owners are not well. Some may become lethargic and not want to eat. Dogs can smell illness.

Dogs have been known to sniff out cancer by sniffing, licking or scratching, they can sniff out seizures and let their owners know they need to pay attention. They notify of several levels of danger and even go to great lengths to notify their owners that is something is happening.

Cats when we are ailing or suffering may behave with nudging, frequent purring, they may stare at you sensing the distress you may be in. They may meow more often, give you extra loves and be more apt to cuddle with you.

Cats pick up on our stress and fear. Cats have a crazy sense of smell. They have around 200 million odor sensitive cells in their nose in comparison to our 5 million. They can sense chemical changes that can occur with illnesses. Some studies have shown that cats will notice changes in breathing and even electrical signals transmitted by the brain as it dies. They may know death is coming.

I wish the opposite was true with animals feeling sick and dying. I just lost my furry baby. She was 12 years old and she was beloved. I suspected at times that more was wrong but she was acting fine, eating fine, drinking, etc... She had been to a vet and I felt reassured that she was ok. She was not! Her little, beautiful heart was on the verge of exploding and we ended the night with letting her go. She was my love and It literally broke me!

FYI: A couple days before my cat started acting strange around her. He almost acted as if he was angry with her but after it all; it made perfect, heartbreaking sense.

I wish we had crazy senses and could smell their issues or something to that effect. I feel for animals for feeling our emotions, illnesses and craziness but I almost wish we could do the same.

Humans and animals can be separated by Intuition, humor, resilience and active listening. Supposably, Humans do not have what is considered directional senses and magnetic senses, I'm really not sure about that.

What do you all think about the intuition of animals? Have your animals ever let you in on something unknown to you? Are you so entwined with your animal that you swear you can read each others minds? How do your animals act when you are sick?
